Curated by Lydia Iracheta, founder of Sobremesa.Institute - the unconventional Spanish school

We’re delighted to introduce you to our trusted partner from Pamplona, Lydia Iracheta.

Cultural curator, creative thinker, community builder, and always on the lookout for beautiful, meaningful experiences, Lydia is the heart behind Sobremesa.Institute, the unconventional Spanish school based in Barcelona where language, creativity, and connection come together.

Some people just know how to live well, and Lydia is one of them. A lover of unique, authentic places and the intriguing people behind them, she’s spent years exploring Pamplona inside and out always with an eye for what’s real, what’s special, and what’s worth sharing.

She believes in the art of living well. Long, easy afternoons stretched over good wine and conversation. Hidden gems that don’t shout but whisper. Travel that feels personal, thoughtful, and full of wonder.

Through this unique guide, created especially for Running of the Bulls, Lydia invites you to discover Pamplona beyond the obvious, and maybe pick up a bit of Spanish along the way.

**A note from Lydia:

I was born in Pamplona, and no matter where I go, this city will always feel like home. It’s the place that shaped me; the streets, the rhythm, the stories, the food, the people. Even after years of living in Barcelona, I find myself coming back here whenever I can. And every time I do, it feels like a quiet return to something essential.

Pamplona is often known for its energy and tradition, but what I love most is its warmth. Its ability to hold space for both celebration and stillness. For old friends and new discoveries. For the loud joy of the fiestas and the calm beauty of a morning walk through its ancient streets.

In this guide, I’m sharing with Running of the Bulls exactly what I would do on a perfect San Fermín day, living it like a local. It’s a joy to walk you through, step by step, the places and experiences I cherish most during these magical days in Pamplona. From where to have breakfast, to the streets I love to walk, to my favorite spots to pause, celebrate, and take it all in; this is my personal way of experiencing San Fermín.

Every moment included here has meaning for me. And just like everything we create at **Sobremesa.Institute,* this guide is filled with care, warmth, and the deepest love for language, culture, and connection.*

So take your time. Savor it slowly. Let Pamplona surprise you. I’m so happy to welcome you to my hometown.

With love, Lydia Iracheta
